DYPCET Hosts International Conference on Recent Trends in Engineering and Technology

D. Y. Patil College of Engineering & Technology, Kasaba Bawada, Kolhapur, successfully organized the International Conference on “Recent Trends in Engineering and Technology (ICRTET-2026)” with participation from researchers, academicians, and industry experts from India and abroad.

The conference focused on emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, engineering innovations, and sustainable technological advancements. Speaking at the inaugural session, renowned academician Prof. Percy Engineer emphasized that while technology and artificial intelligence are becoming increasingly advanced and efficient, they can never replace human creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. He highlighted the importance of using technology responsibly and ethically for the betterment of society.

The conference provided a platform for researchers and scholars to exchange innovative ideas, present research findings, and discuss the latest developments in engineering and technology. More than 550 research papers were submitted for the conference, out of which around 175 papers were selected for presentation after a rigorous review process.

Distinguished guests at the conference included Executive Director Dr. A. K. Gupta, Prof. Michael Short from Teesside University, United Kingdom, Dr. Kalavani Chellappan from Public University, Malaysia, and Prof. Milovan De from Eastern New Mexico University, USA. Principal Dr. Santosh Bhede, Registrar Dr. H. V. Mhalde, Conference Coordinator Dr. Manisha Bhanuse, faculty members, and researchers were also present.

Experts at the conference guided participants on the role of artificial intelligence in engineering education, industry applications, sustainability, and future technological transformations. The event encouraged research culture, innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and global academic networking among participants.

The conference was organized under the guidance and support of Chairman Dr. Sanjay D. Patil, Vice Chairman MLA Satej D. Patil, Trustees Kruturaj Patil and Pruthviraj Patil, along with the management and faculty members of the institution.
