
Engineering Emerges as the World’s Largest Employment Generator: D. Y. Patil Engineering Seminar in Pandharpur Receives Overwhelming Response
D. Y. Patil College of Engineering & Technology, Kasaba Bawada, Kolhapur, received an overwhelming response to its Engineering Admission Guidance Seminar organized in Pandharpur. The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of students and parents eager to explore engineering education and future career opportunities.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. S. D. Chede emphasized that engineering is one of the world’s largest employment-generating sectors and that emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Data Science, Robotics, and Automation are creating new opportunities and transforming industries globally. He encouraged students to understand future industry requirements and pursue engineering education with a vision of innovation and lifelong learning.
Dr. Litesh Malade, Registrar of the institution, provided detailed guidance on the Engineering Admission Process (CAP) 2026–27. He explained the Centralized Admission Process, eligibility criteria, required documents, scholarship schemes, branch selection strategies, and important timelines associated with engineering admissions.
The seminar also highlighted future-focused engineering disciplines including Computer Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Science, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering. Experts emphasized the growing demand for skilled engineers and the importance of developing technical knowledge, communication skills, leadership qualities, and problem-solving abilities.
The interactive session enabled students and parents to clarify their queries regarding admissions, scholarships, placements, internships, and higher education opportunities. The seminar served as an important platform for aspiring engineers to make informed academic and career decisions.
