Indian Air Force Conducts Career Guidance and Awareness Program at D. Y. Patil Engineering

D. Y. Patil College of Engineering & Technology, Kasaba Bawada, Kolhapur, organized a special career guidance and awareness program in collaboration with the Indian Air Force to provide students with insights into career opportunities and life in the armed forces.

The event featured the Indian Air Force’s “Induction Publicity Exhibition Vehicle,” which offered students an interactive experience showcasing various aspects of the Air Force, including technical branches, aircraft systems, defence technologies, training procedures, and career opportunities available for engineering graduates.

Squadron Leader Rajan More, Flight Lieutenant Mrunal Bhusal, Flight Officer A. Yadav, Warrant Officer Devappa Kumbar, and other Air Force officials guided students about recruitment processes, eligibility criteria, training modules, and career growth in different branches of the Indian Air Force.

Students were given information about fighter aircraft, emergency response systems, technical operations, communication systems, and advanced defence technologies used by the Air Force. Demonstration models and multimedia presentations helped students understand real-world defence applications and operational capabilities.

The officials also explained opportunities available through the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) and Air Force Technical branches, motivating students to consider defence services as a prestigious and rewarding career path. The program helped students gain clarity about leadership, discipline, technical excellence, and national service associated with careers in the armed forces.

A large number of students enthusiastically participated in the program and interacted with Air Force officers to learn more about defence careers and training opportunities.

The initiative was organized under the guidance of Chairman Dr. Sanjay D. Patil, Vice Chairman MLA Satej D. Patil, Trustee Prithviraj Patil, Executive Director Dr. A. K. Gupta, Principal Dr. Santosh Chede, Registrar Dr. Litesh Malade, and Training & Placement Department officials Prof. Sudarshan Sutar and Prof. Makarand Kaingade.
