
NSS Camp at D. Y. Patil Engineering Promotes Dignity of Labour and Social Responsibility
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of D. Y. Patil College of Engineering & Technology, Kasaba Bawada, Kolhapur, successfully organized a special NSS camp aimed at developing social awareness, discipline, leadership qualities, and the value of dignity of labour among students.
During the camp, students actively participated in various community development and social service activities including cleanliness drives, public awareness campaigns, and rural development initiatives. The program focused on encouraging students to contribute positively to society while developing a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and civic consciousness.
Speaking on the occasion, former minister and social leader Mahadevrao Kambale highlighted the importance of NSS activities in shaping socially responsible citizens and building strong moral values among youth. He appreciated the efforts of the institution in organizing initiatives that inspire students toward community service and nation-building.
The NSS volunteers participated enthusiastically in activities promoting village cleanliness, environmental awareness, and public welfare. The camp also emphasized personality development, leadership skills, and social commitment among engineering students.
The initiative was organized under the guidance and support of Chairman Dr. Sanjay D. Patil, Vice Chairman MLA Satej D. Patil, Trustees Kruturaj Patil and Pruthviraj Patil, Executive Director Dr. A. K. Gupta, Principal Dr. Santosh Bhede, Registrar Dr. Suresh Mhalde, and NSS Program Officer Prof. Rahul Patil.
